Worship Team Welcomes Daniel Arredondo

We are thrilled to announce that Daniel Arredondo, Minister of Music at MCC Austin, will be joining the General Conference worship team.

As Minister of Music at MCC Austin, Daniel directs the sanctuary choir and coordinates the many ensembles and individual performers who lift their voices in praise at their worship services and special events. Music is a lifelong avocation for Daniel as well as his full-time profession.

He has worked as a choir director at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in choral conducting from Texas State University, specializing in choral music of all genres, from classical to gospel.

Daniel will taking on many of Stephanie Smith’s responsibilities within the worship team. Stephanie who has been working as part of the worship team for the last 12 months, will be stepping down from her role because of personal reasons. The worship and General Conference planning teams thank her for all the work she has done in the planning of this conference.

Conference Travel Assistance

expanding

Traveling to Acapulco as with any foreign destination can present unique challenges such as:

Flight Availability - there are a limited number of flights to Acapulco.  Hence we highly recommended that you do not delay and book your flights as soon as possible

Transportation between the airport and the hotel can be a challenge – Taxis are generally smaller than those by US standards and they are not always readily available.  This could be especially crucial when departing from the hotel as many people will be departing at the same time resulting in possible missed flights due to the inability to get to the airport on time.

Language – Spanish is the spoken language and if you need help with something it is not always possible to find immediate assistance who can speak English

Airport - Foreign Airports especially in Mexico can be confusing and have their own unique idiosyncrasy.

To meet these challenges - MCC has partnered with Expanding Horizons to offer personal travel assistance.  We have been working with Expanding Horizons, a conference travel assistance company, to provide General Conference attendees a simple way to book airfare as well as ground transportation to the conference in one step making your arrival and departure experience as smooth as possible.

Please visit http://expandinghorizons.techtrav.com/, for all of the information, package deals and booking rates.

Please note that the airfare when booked through Expanding Horizons includes.:

1. Someone to greet you at the airport when you arrive
2. Ground transport from the airport to the hotel in Acapulco

Imagine Partnership

Imagine

The Fellowship and Bishop Yvette Flunder will not be holding their own annual conference, and instead, will confer with us by joining in on our activities, workshops, worship and so much more.

We will have a special plenary, “IMAGINING PARTNERSHIP,” in which we explore the emerging relationship between MCC and the Fellowship on a local and global level.
